Perfumes containing alcohol

Question: 

I wanted to confirm the impressibility of using perfumes that contain alcohol and reading Salaat, as well as the paak/napaaki aspect of the subject. 


Answer: 

Before we give our Fatwa on alcoholic perfumes, we would like to give a little bit of detail on the issue of alcohol and the different views of the Fuqahaa (jurists) and our contemporary Ulama as well.

Alcohol that are found in perfumes are commonly benzyl and ethyl alcohol.

Hand sanitizer

Question: 

In light of the spread of the Coronavirus in the U.K and other countries, I would be grateful if you can guide us regarding the following matters:

The N.H.S is advising one to regularly wash ones hands with soap, and use hand sanitizers when possible. In light of this, and considering the different products available on the market, the following queries have arisen.

1. A) If soap and hand sanitizers contain alcohol, will the use of these products be permissible?
