Hukm of memorizing the Qur'an, Forgetting the Qur'an

Question:

What is the Hukm of Hifthul Qur'an?

To whom does ther eprecussion of forgetting the Qur'an Kareem apply?

Answer:

1) To memorize one long Ayat or three short Aayaat is Fardhul ‘Ayn, to memorize Surah Fatihah and one Surah is Wajibul ‘Ayn and lastly to memorize the whole Quran is Fardhul-Kifayah and Sunnatul ‘Ayn1.

Animals slaughtered without saying Bismillah

Question:

A chicken was slaughtered by Muslim but he forgot or did not say bismillah at the time off slaughtering. Will the chicken be hallaal?

Answer:

If a person forgot or unintentionally did not say Bismillah before slaughtering the chicken, the chicken will be Halaal. If he slaughtered the chicken intentionally discarding Bismillah, the chicken will be regarded as carrion and Haraam to consume.i
