Question:

A father has a property that is 500 square meters. He leaves behind a Wife, 4 sons, 1 daughter. How do u calculate it?

Answer:

After discharging the burial expenses, debts (if any), then implementation of the bequests of the deceased from a third of the remainder of the estate, the estate will be divided into 72 portions as follows:

Wife - 9 shares - 12.5%
Son - 14 shares - 19.44%
Son - 14 shares - 19.44%
Son - 14 shares - 19.44%
Son - 14 shares - 19.44%
Daughter - shares - 9.72%
Total - 72 shares - 99.98%
So the heirs will become owners in the mentioned property according to the above proportions. If the property is sold, they will receive their shares according to the above detail. Physical division will not be practical especially if the property is a residential one.
As you may have noticed, there is a remainder of 0.02% due to the difficulty of rounding off numbers. This amount may either be given to one of the heirs with the mutual consent of the other heirs if the are all mature.
Disclaimer: Any changes in the heirs will bring about changes in the distribution.
