Question:

Some
people have no hair all around their head maybe a few hairs so to use medicine
for growth is it permissible? Alot of comments came regarding the beard and buttocks
or breast to grow them through medical procedures.. i would appreciate your
response.

Answer:

If a person lost most or all his/her hair due to some illness, then utilizing medication to re-grow the hair will be permissible. Another option of re-growing the hair is by hair transplantation where hair is removed from some other part of the body together with the roots and planted on the head. This is only permissible with one’s own hair and not the hair of any other human being (due to necessity.) [Re:- Fataawa Darul Uloom Zakariyya Pg.337 Vol.7]

In regards to the beard, if the beard naturally doesn’t grow there is no need for hair implantation or utilizing any other method to grow the beard as this will be tantamount to interfering with the natural characteristics on which Allah Ta'aala has created a person which is not permissible. The same ruling will apply to growing the breasts and buttock; meaning that it will not be permissible to undergo any procedure to grow them as this too is tantamount to interfering with the natural characteristics on which Allah Ta'aala has created a person.
