Question:

The father of my baby
issued one Talaaq raj'i soon after the birth of our baby. (29th March 2019) I
was at my parents house at the time and remained there for the iddah.

Till today (22nd June) I have not gotten haiz, perhaps because of
breastfeeding.

1. how do I calculate my iddah?

2. In the town that we live, I don't have any other mahram besides my father
and ex father in law. If there is a need for my parents to leave town, may I
please accompany them, and  remain at that residence, not going out,
attending functions etc?

It would be very difficult for me to stay alone at home with the baby.

Please guide us, especially as my brother's nikah is approaching and it will be
necessary for my parents to go out.

Answer:

1. In Shariah, when a woman is divorced with a Talaaq-e-Raj’ie/revocable divorce (as in the enquired case) and she is a woman who menstruates, her Iddah is three menstrual cycles; therefore, in the enquired scenario, the questioner will calculate her Iddah by 3 Haidh (periods). Moreover, if the third Haidh ends in 10 days, her Iddah will terminate as soon as the bleeding stops; thereafter, the husband will not hold a right of Raj’ah (retraction of divorce) in a case where a woman was divorced with a single revocable divorce or two revocable pronouncements of divorce, and if the bleeding ceases in less than 10 days, her Iddah and the retraction period does not end until she performs Ghusal or the duration of one Salah passes over her.

In your case, since seeing that you have not experienced Haidh as yet (perhaps due to breastfeeding as you state), you will have to wait a bit longer for the three Haidh to pass. You could consult a doctor in this regard who would prescribe some medication that can put your menstrual cycle back on course so that you go through the three menstrual cycles that are required.

2. Leaving the house is not permitted for the woman who has been divorced revocably or irrevocably in Islam; therefore, you would not be permitted to leave the house for such reasons as mentioned in the query (i.e. accompanying your parents when they go out to see to preparations for your brother’s Nikah). For the few days that they go out, you could arrange for your brother or some other mahram to stay with you for that duration of time.
