A female should not leave her home except in the case of severe need or necessity on condition that she is dressed appropriately as required by Shariah and returns immediately after attending to her needs. There is absolutely no need or necessity for a female to be attending any sporting event. Even if she is to don the Shari’ee code of dress before leaving the confines of her home, then too the ruling of impermissibility remains unchanged. She should therefore remain at home in this instance.
