Question:

1-Is it permissible
to give Zakaat to a Baralwi who calls unto Ghos Paak?

2- Do we stand with the Baralwis against the Salafis on the bases of Usool of
Fiqh or do we stand with the Salafis against the Baralwis on the bases of
Aqidah?

Answer:

1. There are certain conditions that need to be present in order for one to be a recipient of Zakaat. One of these conditions is that such a person must be a Muslim. Thus, any person that holds any belief that takes him out of the fold of Islaam will not be eligible to receive Zakaat. (Shaami Vol. 2 Pg. 354). One will have to look individually at prospective recipients to determine whether they are eligible or not.

2. We as the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah do not need to stand with any other sect. We walk upon the footsteps of our Akaabir (pious predecessors) and the Sahabah Radhiallahu Anhum and follow their ways. The concept of standing for and against each of the different sects is very dangerous. Standing on one platform with them gives a form of credibility to these sects and this portrays a very dangerous image for the layman. Commonalities will definitely be found between us the Ahlus Sunah Wal Jama’ah and the other sects But we do not need to associate and stand with those that do not subscribe to the beliefs and ways of the Ahlus Sunah Wal Jama’ah in totality.

Whether it is in Fiqh or Aqaaid we stay away from those who do not subscribe to the way of the Ahlus Sunah Wal Jama’ah!!
